2011 Round-Up

2011 was a quiet year for me, photographically speaking, but I did get a few opportunities to get out with the camera including a few local shots, and some from far further afield.

Early on in the year, I visited Delapré Abbey to capture the bluebells in the surrounding woodland.  I also had another chance to visit Snowdon, the third photo below was taken on the path up the mountain.

This summer I spent a couple of weeks travelling round the incredible country of Iceland.  For most of the trip the weather wasn’t very helpful for photography, but on a couple of occasions the lighting was perfect, and I was able to get the shots I’d hoped for.

Sejlandafoss and Detifoss

Goðafoss

Iceland has a truly remarkable landscape, which I can recommend to any landscape photographer, but also a fascinating culture and history.  Hopefully I’ll be able to return some time soon to experience more of the country, and to get some more photographs!

To finish this round up, here is a shot of the Golden Gate Bridge in California, taken last September.
